Once you’ve activated your online account, you have full control 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including:
• Set up your own repayment plan
• Complete an income and outgoings form to work out what you can afford to repay
• Check your balance
• Check your payment history
• Message us
• Live online chat
Our service is completely free, so we won’t charge you any fees at all, even for payment arrangements. We don’t have any debt recovery agents and we won’t make any visits to your property.
If you are worried about your debt, don’t be. There’s plenty of help available. Our debt advice page lists various organisations and charities that offer free, confidential and independent advice.
We want to help you as much as we can but you need to help yourself too. By activating your account you can set up your own repayment arrangement and save money. If you fail to make a repayment arrangement with us, we have to pass your account on to an enforcement company called Nationwide Collection Services. This company will assign debt recovery or enforcement agents to accounts, who may make visits to your property and add charges for visits, collections and payment arrangements.
